I've had type 1 diabetes for 37 years. The synthetic insulin does cause problems and not rarely. It hits like a hammer and has no duration. I am importing pork (natural) insulin from? Canada and it works better for me. I originally was on pork (natural) and? went to synthetic. I couldn't? stand being on the synthetic insulin. Doctors and pharmaceutical companies love to blame the patient and not the product. Natural isn't perfect but does work better. Read "INSULIN:A VOICE FOR CHOICE"

I'm against the Protect IP Act as written. If it?? passes, then it will be more difficult for diabetics to import the natural pork &? beef insulin that they? need for survival and quality of life. Eli Lilly stated that rDNA synthetic human insulin wouldn't work? for some diabetics and? rDNA human insulin is the only insulin available? in America. Why isn't natural pork & beef insulin protected by the "Orphan Drug Act"? Pork & Beef insulin should be available to American diabetics again.

Read " Insulin: A Voice for Choice". Even Eli Lilly said that rDNA human insulin ( NOT HUMAN) wouldn't work for all diabetics. A lot of American diabetics are importing natural pork & beef? insulin from Europe & Canada for survival & quality of life. Choices shouldn't be? dictated by? a profit. Why do those who profit from rDNA human insulin use suppression of information & censorship to push their self-profit agenda. Pork & Beef insulin should be available in America for those who need it.

@KorpiArto I loved your comment. Drug companies are way ahead of Sweden, because they already have a patent on a preventative drug for the " can fly " condition for cows and/or humans. The side affects can be death and/or bankruptcy which pale in comparison to the " can fly " condition. Fear of death ( the? great unknown ) is a successful sales ploy that the profit-driven healthcare system uses & quite successfully. Thanks for the good laugh.

having diabetes myself i? find it not to hard to monitor a good diet and stay away from to much sugar and your levels will stall relatively normal

i? think back to the future,eat not junk food. i recomend drink juice raw bittermelon everyday. the first day and the second day maybe bitter, but the next only a little bitter. exercise (walk) everyday 30 menit.

Please if you can get a one touch basic. it uses photometric testing and is the most accurate. They are no longer available but you can get them on e-bay. I was taken by ambulance because I had passed out from low blood sugar? 32 but the ultra meter said 300 . I wear a medical alter bracelet to only test with serum blood no ultra meters! If you have blood disorders ALL ultra meters will read false high!This is as per makers of one touch . Write to congress to bring back photometric meter
